How can Scotland's experience of local green economies inform global policy discussions on sustainable development? The ‘green economy' will be one of the two major themes addressed at the ‘Rio+20' UN Conference on Sustainable Development, also referred to as ‘Earth Summit 2012. As part of the preparations for the conference, the UN Secretary General is engaging with Member States to inform his report for the Summit. SSDF has partnered with Stakeholder Forum for a day of discussion and debate with high profile speakers and workshops. The outcomes of the discussions will be shared with the UK government and help inform their submission. A series of case studies of sustainable micro-economies in Scotland will be presented. The conference will be held at Edinburgh's Radisson Blu Hotel on 21st September.
