At 11 Ally already has years of experience of running workshops on renewable energy through Edinburgh Woodcraft Folk’s Powerpod project. He is one of the peer educators running workshops to get young people interested in how energy is generated and how much energy we use in daily activities like listening to an iPod or charging a mobile phone. The Powerpod is a trailer full of renewable energy gadgets that visits schools, youth groups and festivals and Ally’s interactive stylemakes learning fun for young people and adults.

One of the projects he has worked on is the bike powered Guerilla Cinema. Combined with a solar powered pop-corn machine it makes for the ultimate environmentally friendly film experience. project which takes bike powered cinema equipment and screens films with environmental themes
