Community Based Social Marketing workshop
SSDF ran a workshop at the SCVO Gathering in February based on the work of Dr Doug MckKenzie-Mohr, the founder of Community Based Social Marketing.
To create real and long-lasting behaviour change we need more than just public awareness and marketing campaigns. Through case studies of sustainable behaviour change, SSDF participants explored the basic building blocks used in community based social marketing.
Don't worry if you missed this session - keep an eye out for future SSDF workshops across Scotland.

Big Sustainability Summit Touts Idea of 'People's SDC'
Hailed as 'the final contribution of the Sustainable Development Commission', The Big Sustainability Summit was held on 1 March in London, with the aim of providing a 'positive and inclusive space in which to set the sustainable development agenda'. One of the key ideas to arise from the event was a proposal to establish a 'People's Sustainability Commission' to take forward the work of the Sustainable Development Commission, whose 10-year funding has come to an end.
