Inspiring Sustainable Education Conference - March 2011
This event was part of the action plan for the second half of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It brought together key stakeholders across the education sector to look at ways of developing leadership in education for sustainable development and to learn from good practice in different strands of education.
The event was comprised of a mixture of presentations and opportunities to participate in case studies and workshop sessions. It was be action-orientated event, with outcomes aiming to build stronger networks across education for sustainable development; to celebrate success and enhance learning from good practice; and to develop a shared understanding of leadership in education for sustainable development to enable a more joined-up approach to leadership feeding into the UN Decade.
The conference ended with delegates making an action pledge to take forward into their work.
