The ‘green economy' will be one of the two major themes addressed at the ‘Rio+20' UN Conference on Sustainable Development, also referred to as ‘Earth Summit 2012. As part of the preparations for the conference, the UN Secretary General worked to engage with Member States to inform his report for the Summit. SSDF partnered with Stakeholder Forum to explore current issues surrounding the 'green economy'. The outcomes from the discussions will be shared with the UK government and will help inform their submission. A write-up from the day will be available shortly. |
